CLARINS PREGNANCY PURSE

By Corinne Coulange, Thursday 1 September 2011 at 17 h 09 min

I had a very nice gift lately: the Pregnancy Purse of Clarins. A cute and practical purse which contains several pockets inside and outside.

Contains the Clarins essentials skincare products for mum-to-be or new mum to feel pampered!

  • Tonic Body Treatment Oil 100ml that I already use and I love it. It’s smell nice, quickly absorb by the skin and it can be use before having a fresh shower in order to stimulate the circulation.
  • Bust Beauty Extra-Lift Gel 50ml that I use sometimes but I prefer to keep it for later; after having baby and finish with breastfeeding as it should redefine the “natural bra” area thanks to an intensive firming action
  • Stretch Mark Control 30ml that I keep for the time beeing at the hospital as it is a cream quickly absorb by the skin and easier than oil to apply.
  • Beauty Flash Balm 15ml which pretend being “An exceptional beauty booster which immediately eliminates all signs of fatigue: facial features appear rested and smooth”. hhmmm we shall see!

MANGO IN MY HAIR

By Corinne Coulange, Monday 15 August 2011 at 13 h 18 min

la-mangueThe mango is a tropical fruit coming from a big tree which is called “Mangifera Indica”. Mango fruit can be green, yellow or red. It is used in delicious tropical dishes but also savoured in colored fruit juice and cocktail.

The mango has a good nutritional reputation and is appreciated in cosmetic. The amount of beta-carotene is interesting for a glowing effect and healthy look it can provide as well as its repair virtues. Mango contains lots of fibers and vitamins A, B6, B9, B2, B12 and C. Excellent to fight against free radicals!

lavera Naturkosmetik use mango extract in their hair care system. It is repairing and takes care of colored hair and prolongs their color!

Why lavera Naturkosmetik products are not certified BDIH or NaTrue?

Ingredients used are natural and organic and certified by Ecocontrol.  lavera obliged itself to produce more than 90 percent of its products according to the high quality standards of the BDIH* for “Certified natural cosmetics”. lavera currently has an excellent average rating from leading German consumer magazine ÖKO-TEST (top marks awarded more than 650 times, with 232 products tested from 2004 to 2010).

lavera is “genuine” natural cosmetics since:

  • Ingredients and raw materials from certified organic agriculture are used for the production of the products.
  • Products do not include any artificial colorants, fragrances or preservatives.
  • All used ingredients are being processed in a very gentle way.
  • Adapted to sensitive and intolerant skins
  • With pure vegetable oil and essences of natural ingredients
  • Lavera consciously do without animal testing, genetically modified materials and substances of dead vertebrates (e.g. mink oil, animal fats or animal collagen.
  • Free of silicones and mineral oil
  • Without synthetic colors nor artificial flavors(perfumes)
  • Without aggressive foaming agents

lavera chose to use surfactants which have a superior washing power than the one present in the positive BDIH list (cocoamidopropyl betaïne and lauryol sarcosinate). Presence of lecithin helps to soft the hair fibre but ask an important washing power in order to obtain an efficiency cleaning effect with an optimal care.

The flour of guar and the panthénol are present in formula to obtain a nice shine and untangle hair easily. These 2 ingredients do not appear either on the BDIH positive list.

Formula are very soft, the shampoo cleans gently, the conditioner and the haircare leave a fruity delicate fragrance. Be reassured as for the certification: 4 ingredients mentioned above are authorized by the label Ecocert. It is just a question of politic certification.

veganAll those products are Vegan; they can be used by the vegans as no substance from animal kingdom is present in formulas. Everything results from plants extracts. The incorporation of essentials oils is limited to preserve an optimal tolerance.

Do you know the products? Did you use them already?
